Modblox connects to your ERP through the Data Gateway — reading live data and writing back through integrated business objects — plus Cognos, Active Directory, server monitoring, backup management, and more.
Syspro ERP
Our primary ERP adapter. The Data Gateway reads live Syspro data — inventory, GL, debtors, creditors, sales, production, and BOM — through a secure JSON API. The fullest Modblox module set is available with Syspro.
Syspro write-back
Push approved changes back to Syspro through the Data Gateway and integrated business objects. Contract pricing workflows export approved Sor pricing; GL feeds stream actuals, budgets, and forecasts to Cognos. More write-back modules are being ported as the platform evolves.
Other ERP systems
The gateway adapter framework supports additional ERP integrations. Syspro is production-ready today — contact us if you need connectivity to a different ERP.
IBM Cognos
Export GL actuals, budgets, and forecasts to Cognos via the Syspro2Cognos module. Streaming export for large datasets through the Data Gateway.
Active Directory / LDAP
Authenticate users against your existing AD infrastructure. Browse users, manage lockouts, and automate password expiry notifications.
Server monitoring
Device Management tracks outbound-connected remote agents — hostname, online status, OS version, CPU and memory utilisation, and per-volume disk metrics with live trend charts updated over WebSocket.
SQL Server monitoring
SQL Servers monitors each instance on a capable agent — database inventory, blocking sessions with chain detail, wait statistics, slow query insights, and configurable performance trends. Real-time telemetry over WebSocket.
Remote agents
Lightweight Windows agents installed on your servers dial outbound to Modblox Core. Administrators assign capabilities per agent — device metrics, SQL telemetry, Hyper-V backup, SQL backup, and structured commands — with real-time presence, MSI distribution, and no inbound firewall rules.
Hyper-V backup
Schedule and restore cluster-aware Hyper-V VM backups on agents with the hyperv.backup capability. Full and incremental runs, restore wizards, retention GC, and live progress in Modblox.
SQL Server backup
Manage SQL Server full, differential, and log backups on agents with the sql.backup capability. Point-in-time restore chains, Ola-style file layout, and per-instance job queues.
Email (SMTP)
Configurable SMTP for trigger notifications, LDAP digests, password expiry reminders, and below-cost order alerts.
Webhooks
Per-company webhook URLs invoke Triggers with secret authentication. Built-in actions include templated email notifications and sales-order below-cost checks, with full invocation history, payload snapshots, and execution summaries.
Your ERP at the centre
Every ERP integration flows through the Data Gateway and its adapters. Syspro is our primary adapter with the fullest module coverage — your ERP remains the system of record while Modblox reads live data without duplicating or migrating it.
When workflows need to push data back, the same gateway handles write-back through integrated Syspro business objects — approved contract pricing exports to Sor, GL feeds to Cognos, and more as modules are ported to the platform.
Learn about the Data Gateway →Monitoring and backup via remote agents
The Infrastructure domain connects to your servers through lightweight remote agents — not VPNs or inbound firewall rules. Agents dial outbound to Modblox Core and report telemetry or run backup jobs on a schedule you control.
- Device Management — agent roster, OS and disk detail, CPU and memory trend charts
- SQL Servers — per-instance blocking, waits, slow queries, databases, and health metrics
- Hyper-V Backup — scheduled VM backups, incremental chains, restore wizards, and retention
- SQL Backup — full, differential, and log backups with point-in-time restore chains
- Real-time WebSocket updates for monitoring and backup run progress — outbound-only
Device Management
Remote agent detail — CPU, memory, OS, disk volumes, and live trend charts
SQL Servers
SQL instance detail — databases, blocking sessions, wait statistics, and slow query insights
Automation via webhooks
The Automation domain lets you wire external systems into Modblox without custom integration code. Each company gets its own Triggers — unique webhook URLs with rotatable secrets that fire built-in actions when invoked.
- Email notification — templated subject and body with placeholders from query parameters
- Sales order below cost — emails recipients only when line items are priced under warehouse cost
- Full run history — succeeded, failed, skipped, and queued counts with payload inspection
Syspro workflows, middleware, or scheduled jobs can POST or GET a trigger URL when something happens — a new order, a stock movement, a custom event. Modblox handles the action, records the outcome, and keeps an audit trail you can review in the app.
Triggers
Manage triggers — create, configure actions, rotate webhook secrets, and open run history
Run history
Trigger detail — 7- and 30-day stats, recent runs, payload snapshots, and execution summaries
